From our founder in the Philippines, Rev. Primo Rafisura

     Sometime on April of the year 1970, I, together with my wife, Paz, received Jesus Christ into our hearts as our own personal Saviour and Lord of our lives. After sometime, I started teaching Adult Sunday School. Due to the nature of my job being a sales manager of a certain company, I was assigned to the different places in the Visayas and Mindanao. My eldest son, Darwin who was taken by the Lord to be with Him at an early age of 22, was born in Iligan City. Armi Jane was born in Malaybalay City. Cherry Vim was born in Molugan, our hometown. Our youngest, Kathy, was born in Cebu City. She is now with her husband Elgin, in New York City taking care of the church that I founded in 2005. Originally, we were converted under the Assembly of God church in Opol, Misamis Oriental.

     After sometime, we requested the Assembly of God church to give us a pastor in Molugan because there were more members in Molugan than in Opol. Their answer was that they could give us a pastor but we have to give him a salary. But we were not in the position to pay a pastor’s salary because we were just beginning the work! Then I and my wife, Paz, requested a newly graduated Bible School student from Faith Tabernacle church to be our pastor, since we also have fellowshipped with this church. Then two newly-graduated Bible School students started to pastor the church in Molugan and I remained teaching adult Sunday school. We continued with this newly opened church until we transferred to Cebu because of my job as a sales manager in the company.

 

     However, two months after the birth of Kathy in 1976, my wife became critically ill. Many specialist doctors could not even diagnose her sickness. Prescribed medicines were of no use. She had been prayed over by many pastors but to no avail. Close to the end of 1976, my wife decided to go home to our hometown here in Molugan. I believe this was God’s blueprint for us to follow! Since our business was booming in Cebu, we have decided to permanently reside there. But God’s plan overruled ours! Proverbs 16:9 says, “A man’s heart deviseth his own way: but the Lord directeth his steps”.

     Sometime, after we were home, God gradually healed her! I then continued my ministry as a Sunday school teacher of the adult in the Molugan church. Then in 1978, I was called by one of the deacons of Faith Tabernacle church in Del Pilar Street, Cagayan de Oro City, to conduct a Bible Study for a group of mostly professionals in Igpit, Opol, Misamis Oriental. He did not invite their pastor because the deacons had a controversy with the pastor and his wife. By the grace of God, the Bible Study was a great success! After about a year, I was able to baptize around 30 people. Since we had no group yet wherein our Bible Study group could fellowship on Sundays, they therefore followed us in fellowshipping with the Church in Molugan.

 

      Then a certain minister came along and seeing the work of the ministry, he ordained me as a man of God in September of 1979 under the Association of Christian Evangelists Worldwide. In the year 1980 a certain businessman came and invited me to be the Master of Ceremony of a Christian Musical Dinner Show to be held in his roof garden in Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City.

     The show was a success and he requested me to be a Sunday preacher in his family church in Balulang, Cagayan de Oro City.

Since we could no longer meet our Bible Study group in the Molugan church, we had an agreement that we will be having a Charismatic Service in the roof garden in Gusa at 3:00 PM every Sunday. At first they came every Sunday for our fellowship. Later, the Faith Tabernacle bought a piece of property here in Molugan. They then convinced the pastor and the husband to be with them in their ministry.

The pastor then assigned many of our Bible Study members to become the treasurer, deacons and other church functions.

They did this in order to keep them away from attending our afternoon worship service in Gusa.

     I remained in the Golden Farm Church until 1982 when we decided to transfer the ministry into the city itself.

Then on March 1, 1982, the MIRACLE REVIVAL MINISTRIES came into existence by the grace of God with me being the Founder and President of this religious incorporation. Later, we left Cagayan de Oro City and we started a church in Casinglot, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental and also here in Molugan, El Salvador City.

 

     After sometime, we opened a church in Alubijid and later transferred it to Mauswagon, Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental. Then Iponan church was opened and the church is in Barra, Opol, Misamis Oriental. Then a church was opened in Tubajon, Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental. Sometime in 2012, the Lord led us to put up a building as the MRM Headquarters Church. By God’s grace this building it finished without any foreign support! This is a miracle of God’s doing. Humanly speaking, it would be impossible for us to build this up. But God is faithful and He is in total control of everything in His creation. God’s Almighty Name should be praised for all His marvelous works!

 

     Since its founding until now, this ministry is independent and is not affiliated with any religious organization anywhere in the world! We have now 3 local churches including New York, U.S.A. and our group is financed by God through the faithfulness of all our members in bringing their tithes and giving their love offerings. To God be the glory and the honor and the power now and forever!
